1mb is equal to 1000 kbps so speed is calculated by 1000/8 which means 125kbps which is actual speed of 1mb internet pakage.

every 1MB = 1024KB
2mbps speed means 2000 kbps according to his formula but in real world data transmission 2000/8=250kbps..
here 250 kbps is actual net transfer for 2 mbps speed...
